  1. THINK: Step back now and again to look at what’s going on around you and what new ideas you can come up with. Set your alarm and just spend 10 minutes brainstorming.
  2. PLAN: Take your ideas and put them into a cohesive plan. It’s the only way things will get done.
  3. WRITE: Tell your story. Take your ideas and connect them with what matters to your clients.
  4. MOVE: This is what separates the good reporting firms from the great firms…the ability to push lesser important tasks aside and get moving.
  5. TALK: Get on the phone with your clients and your prospects. Make a visit to their offices. Grab lunch. Our research shows over and over that building and solidifying these relationships pay huge dividends.
  6. LAUGH: If you are not having fun, what is the point? Build some fun into your routine and know when it’s time to take a break. Enjoy your colleagues and even showcase your firm having fun on social media. It will make you memorable and approachable!
  7. ASSESS: Develop metrics to evaluate your marketing. What’s working? What’s not? Now it’s time to think again.
