7 Ways to Heat Up Your Fall Marketing Strategy

By July 25, 2018 No Comments
It’s difficult to get into a fall mindset with 80% humidity, but the stores have put out school supplies (noooooooooo) and I just signed up for an Octoberfest event, so it must be around the corner. While the office is empty, now IS the time to plan your fall marketing strategy and content. The week after Labor Day is one of the best for B2B marketing, and with some dedicated effort you can be ready to roll. Close your eyes and conjure up some fall images: a pumpkin-spice latte, the crunch of fall leaves, football weather, and a killer marketing campaign.
  1. Rewrite your welcome email and preview fall specials. Create a fun landing page for gathering email addresses.
  2. Gather ye pumpkins while it’s hot. Automate your social media channels to update headers and logos with fall images on September 1 to reflect the changing seasons.
  3. Build a content calendar of fall blog topics, and go one step further by writing the content NOW!
  4. Autumn is the lead-in to the busiest time of year: Plan now to preview your holiday specials.
  5. Evaluate and rebuild your database. It’s estimated that your email database will degrade by 22.5% every year, so don’t let your contacts become stale.
  6. Map out fall marketing campaigns: Research fall hashtags and handles, write your content, and automate your messaging. Get your copywriting, graphics, website, and brochures done early so that there’s no last-minute rush and associated tension.
  7. Reconnect with clients using a “We Miss You” email. Share photos of your vacation to create a “hook” that makes you memorable.

And until September, enjoy the rest of the summer knowing you have done all you can to automate your autumn.
